Say it ain't so!

I hope this is not an ominous sign!
According to a post on Filter Magazine's website, Malcolm Middleton and Aidan Moffat, otherwise known as Arab Strap have split and are going their separate ways and concentrating on their solo careers! Figures, because I had just gone to see them at Southpaw and missed half of the show! Hopefully this is just a rumour, but I'll keep you posted.

The only glimmer of brightness in the post is that they plan to release a b-sides and rare tracks album [therefore solidifying the rumour] October 23rd entitled "Ten Years of Tears." The track list is below:

PREFACE: SET THE SCENE
ISLANDS (original demo from 1995)
THE FIRST BIG WEEKEND
GILDED (LIVE – from our first ever gig!)
I SAW YOU (from our first John Peel Session)
THE CLEARING (Single Version)

(AFTERNOON) SOAPS
ROCKET, TAKE YOUR TURN (from the Fukd ID 12”)

TURBULENCE (BIS REMIX RADIO EDIT)
