Beer News

Long Island Beer Festival news -

Local breweries plan to bring some amazing new brews to the festival:
Southampton Publick House will be bringing Spring seasonal "May Bock" & the special "10th Anniversary Old Ale"
Blue Point Brewery will be bringing - "Sour Cherry Imperial Stout" available in cask & firkin & the "Double Blond Ale"

New Beer News -
Southampton Publick House will be brewing a Belgian Triple ale that will be available this spring in limited quantities on draft at the brewpub.
BrickHouse Brewery will be bringing - Double IPA, Pilsner, and a Belgian-style Saison
Weyerbacher Brewing Co. has reportedly completely reformulated their Hops Infusion (it will still include 7 different varieties of hops), by adding Simcoe hops to more closely adhere to the American IPA style.

Beers I Need to Try -
In addition to the two Belgian IPA's I've mentioned earlier on these pages, I have two new ales I am seriously in need of trying...direct to you from the 2006 Bistro Double IPA Festival held in California (home to most of the BEST double and single IPAs in the world IMHO):
Marin Brewing (CA) - "White Knuckle"
21st Amendment Brewery (CA) - "Double Trouble"
Russian River Brewing (CA) - "Pliny the Younger"
